SHOULD I QUARANTINE WHEN I GO TO TURKEY?

The corona epidemic has deeply affected the whole world. Due to the corona virus, which caused the death of millions of people in many countries, closures and quarantine measures were taken.

Turkey is also among the countries affected by the corona virus. A large number of people have been infected with corona disease. It is known that many Turks lost their lives due to the corona virus.

The Turkish state has taken measures against the corona virus. Entry and exit to Turkey was prohibited for a period. Corona virus was first seen in Turkey in March 2020. The Turkish state started quarantine measures in April 2020. Mask, social distance and cleaning rules have been introduced. Masks are mandatory all over the country. However, due to the decrease in corona cases in the country recently, the strict measures taken have been relaxed. Entries and exits to Turkey have been opened. Travel bans imposed by Turkey to other countries have been lifted. In addition, countries that impose a travel ban on Turkey have removed Turkey from the red list. There is no need to go into quarantine when you go to Turkey. When you go to Turkey, the quarantine obligation has been lifted. But it can be seen that some people optionally self-quarantine. However, such a necessity was not brought by the Turkish State. Although quarantine measures were applied when one went to Turkey during the Covid-19 process, there is no such situation at the moment. It is not necessary to have full Covid vaccines to travel to Turkey.

It is possible for people who are not vaccinated to enter Turkey. The PCR test requirement applied to people who did not have the Covid vaccine for a while has been abolished. Thus, those who are not vaccinated can enter Turkey without having a PCR test.
PCR tests are still applied in many places. However, in June 2022, the obligation to have a PCR test was abolished when entering Turkey. Currently, it is not mandatory to have a PCR test to enter Turkey.

The mask requirement has been abolished in domestic transportation in Turkey. It is not mandatory to wear a mask at this time in Turkey. However, some experts say that the wearing of masks should be made compulsory again in case of the re-distribution of the corona virus.
